Musing for the day

I hereby solemnly swear that this blog will not be used to dribble on about what I had for breakfast or about how many loads of washing I got done on the weekend etc. I don't believe for a second my life is interesting enough for anyone to read about it.

I just want to put the Random in Random Musings and get your feedback on it.

Well.

Let's get started then.

I was watching the news the other day and there was an article in which the Police were asking for information from the public about the whereabouts of a particular crim. Now, just wait a minute there buddy, I thought.... that's freakin' 'telling tales' that is and when I was at school that was an evil act worthy of severe punishment! What the hell!? Now as adults we are now publically asked to 'tell tales'. How ridiculously conflicting is this information?

After an initial quick chuckle the impact of how adults (especially teachers) installed in us that telling tales was bad started to sink in...How many kids didn't tell their parents or teachers about getting the crap beat out of them or a friend every lunch? What didn't we tell our parents about the strange bruises we saw on Timmy's arms, legs and back when we were getting changed for P.E? How many people haven't reported what really happened with Sarah's dad that time they slept in a tent in her back yard? Holy crap.....
